Review

Nah...I'm not wimped out yet listening to Pop music or even worse shit! I bet there's just a handful of guys of those reading this who knew about this record before. If I'd ask you what music's to expect, would you say progressive Power Metal? I know you wouldn't! And that's exactly what this smart Bubi has produced on "Sky high". The album was recorded in Falls Church, Virginia and contains a quite weird but mainly superb mix of epic ballads and guitar dominated Heavy/Power Metal where this guys is showing all his unbelievable skills that noone would have had expected to creep out of that frightfullly wrapped vinyl. It's not only instrumental shredding like possessed, some songs even got vocals and that's really the weakest point on the album. I don't know if he's singing himself but that voice sounds so disgustingly soft that I could rage out. But when he's starting with the true Metal shit I seriously feel reminded to mainly the classic US Metal style with an melodic touch in the HELLOWEEN vein (the style they are playing guitar). One track offers even outstanding Power/Speed Metal, so there's no reason to hesitate besides of the crap vocals on the softer songs. When the album turns up you can get it for almost nothing since noone knows about it's nice content, but to be honest I haven't seen a copy yet in the past months.
