Zeno Morf: Ways of madness

Nur ein Jahr hat es gedauert, bis das zweite Album von ZENO MORF fertig gestellt wurde. Wie schon beim Vorgänger setzen die Norweger auf powervollen 80er Metal.

Sound und Produktion sind noch besser geworden als auf dem Vorgänger. Der Titelsong "Wings of madness" ist ein Ohrwurm erster Güte und auch sonst steht man Bands wie METAL INQUISITOR oder SACRED STEEL nicht nach.

Natürlich hat Frontmann Terje den Vorteil, daß er als Skandinavier auch sehr gut Englisch spricht und deswegen auch gesanglich nichts holpert oder unrund wirkt.

Dass es sich bei ZENO MORF um eine der ganz wenigen norwegischen Metal Bands handelt, die nicht dem Death oder Black Metal fröhnen, ist es in ihrem Heimatland umso schwieriger Publikum zu finden. Leider hat sich die norwegische Szene schon völlig auf röhrende Elche im Wald und auf der Bühne eingestellt.

Für alle, die guten skandinavischen Heavy Metal mögen, ist ZENO MORF natürlich Pflicht.

Only one year after the debut the second album from ZENO MORF was readyfor the public and again ZENO MORF show us powerful 80s Heavy Metal.

Sound and producton are even better as on the first album and the title song "Wings of madness" is what I would call a "Metal chart breaker" if there were real Heavy Metal charts...

So some leading bands in Germany in this special Genre like METAL INQUISTIOR and SACRED STEEL would be happy to have some of such great songs on their last albums like you find them on "Wings of madness.

Of course the advantage of the scandinavian bands is that the vocalists usually speak very good english, so there is no problem with pronounciation and all sounds tight and perfect.

For the band the only problem is that they come from Norway, a country where you have normally only Death and Black Metal in these days. But maybe thats the way out of the norwegian uniformity. A band playing true 80s Metal with 90s sound and production, a great vocalist and surprisingly good songs!
