Review

Well known as the lead singer of the legendary Mexican band LUZBEL, Arturo Huizar formed his own project after leaving LUZBEL. His first release was this 12”Ep which showed a melodic Heavy metal of classic tradition. The opener "Por Piedad" ("Asking For Mercy") is a remake of the classic LUZBEL’s song, but with new and baroque arrangements. The choruses, the melancholic keyboards and the great guitar solo take this song to upper levels of musical evolution, which was supposed to be in all the HUIZAR albums, sadly he lost the way later…..This song is a real good one which very few have noticed as a classic in itself. The second song is"“Quiero Dejar De Ser" ("I Wanna Be No More"). The intro has its own story. Featuring chants and voices of religious sense, the catholic groups felt attacked and started a total campaign against the record and the band. At the end, the disc was released…..The song in itself is another piece of melodic Heavy metal, sadly with the guitars a bit hidden in the back. Anyway, the vocals are good and the production is quite good if we remember how shitty production got most of the Latin American bands… If you like bands like LUZBEL and GEHENA, this is for you, after all, this got a pretty good sound.
