Review

Blood Covered is a heavy metal band from Greece. Is the one of the most cult band of greek heavy metal! They created in 1987 by Dimitri “Cabeza” Sofrona who played the bass and did the vocals. They released one EP, one demo and one LP. This EP was the first record of the band and released in 1991 by their as independence release. In this record includes 4 great songs. The sound of band is a mix of epic metal (like old Manowar) and thrash (like the old thrash metal bands of 80s), with a dark atmosphere. The production isn't very clear but is good and give to this record more cult sound. The first track is the “Winterhawk”. The song starts with a epic heavy riff and continue with a quick thrash style riff. The second song is the “Awaiting the end”. The song starts with a heavy riff and have very good melodies. The third song is “Blood Covered” and was instrumental. Begin with bass and after guitars get in and are fantastic! The final song is “Desert”. Begin loud but after very soon stop and turn to ballad, but continue with a great heavy riff. The lyrics of the songs is about Indians of America and theirs massacre and sorrows. This EP is a gem for every metal collector.
