Bitterness: Genociety

Mit ihrem 2009er Album "Genociety" sind BITTERNESS nun eine reinrassige Speed/Thrash Metal-Band. Die Death Metal-Wurzeln wurden abgelegt und das Album startet gleich furios mit der Speed Metal Hymne "Suicide Squad".

Gesanglich ist man an KREATOR und SODOM orientiert. Musikalisch sind natürlich auch von diesen Bands Einflüsse zu erkennen, aber ebenso US-amerikanische. Gerade die Mischung aus Speed/Thrash und Melodien steht der Band sehr gut zu Gesicht so daß "Genociety" auf jeden Fall ihr stärkstes Album darstellt. Auch "Down in Flames" ist ein Kracher und knallt ordentlich rein.

Kompromisslos wird hier auf die Zwölf gegeben. Trotzdem bleibt es abwechslungsreich. Das liegt vor allem am wirklich gut eingespielten Team. Jeder Song wirkt straigt und eingängig und man bleibt zum Glück über die ganze Spielzeit dabei. Auch gesanglich passt alles zur extrem durchschlagenden Musik der Jungs. Von Death Growls nimmt man Abstand und legt lieber Wert auf Agressivität. Dieses mittlerweile vierte Album der Band ist ein gewaltiger Schritt nach vorne und spielt in der ersten Thrash Metal-Liga!

First class Speed and Thrash Metal, yes, thats the impression after listening to "Genociety". This fourth album from BITTERNESS is their best. Away from Death or Black the band shows their ability to play aggressive, fast with a catchy feel and a strong sound.

If you heard the albums before "Genociety" you will not believe this big step forward. For Speed and Thrash Metal-fans the album is absolutely recommended!! Doesn't matter if you are a fan of KREATOR or SODOM or more into US-Style. You will find a lot of influences and always on high level.
