Lonewolf: The dark crusade

Nach dem eher langweiligen "Made in hell" melden sich LONEWOLF 2009 mit "The dark crusade" besser als jemals zuvor zurück. Das liegt natürlich daran, daß diesmal keine Kosten und Mühen gescheut wurden und neben in die Produktionsarbeit bekannte Größen wie Andy LaRocque und Bart Gabriel miteinbezogen wurden. Als Gueststars gibts ebenfalls Mitwirkung durch Fronfrau Marta von CRYSTAL VIPER und Majk Moti (RUNNING WILD). Dazu hat man noch bei Karthago einen Vertrag ergattert, was dafür spricht, daß es einen guten Schritt mit LONEWOLF vorangehen wird. Das Songmaterial gibt jedenfalls zu Hoffnungen großen Anlass. Songs wie "Hail victory" oder "Warrior priest" suchte man auf dem Vorgänger vergebens. Natürlich kann kann man LONEWOLF immer noch den Vorwurf machen, sie würden sich sehr nahe an RUNNING WILD und GRAVE DIGGER anlehnen. Das ist schon richtig, nur mittlerweile haben LONEWOLF die besseren Songs am Start. Zum Glück kann auch Jens Börner (LONEWOLF haben einen deutschen Sänger) gut Englisch und sein dunkles Organ passt ausnehmend gut zu den druckvollen 80er-sounding Metal-songs! Stark!

After the quite boring "Made in hell" LONEWOLF are back 2009 with "The dark crusade" and stronger than ever. Of course we can find reasons for that. High costs and much work were involved to get the best product possible with help from well known international Metal producers Andy LaRocque and Bart Gabriel. Gueststars on the album are Marta Gabriel (CRYSTAL VIPER) and Majk Moti (RUNNING WILD). To get a good distribution LONEWOLF signed with Karthago Records, which means international availiability of the record. Songwise there is reason for big hopes. Songs like "Hail victory" or "Warrior priest" you did not find again at LONEWOLF since the great Debutalbum. Of course you can still say that "The dark crusade" is too strong influenced by RUNNING WILD or GRAVE DIGGER. Thats right but in fact today LONEWOLF have the better songs on their album. "The dark crusade" is true Metal at its best.
