This monsterrare item has been on my want-list for years before finding it. Once played, I immediately decided to never letting it go again! Great powerful songs, awesome melodies and a solid production make "Imperial Journey" a real gem in my collection! Only thing we could talk about is the vocalist, who sometimes reaches peakes he simply can't handle. But that is a minor issue in my opinion, I really love this vinyl and can recommend it to every serious collector around! An interesting note at the end: for a long time, nobody really knew where BLACK SUN hailed from. Some said USA, some Spain, some France - now it seems clear (thanks to Martial Baudet!) that the guys came from Montpellier. So, another great French item indeed!

Kuriose Scheibe, diese Black Sun. Wird oft dem US Spektrum zugeschrieben, ist aber definitiv spanischen Ursprungs. Seis drum, "Imperial Journey" bietet klassischen Metal, dessen Knackpunkt sicher der Sänger ist. Dieser bewegt sich in sehr hohen Gefilden, was man mag oder nicht. Ich finde ihn gut, da er wirklich singt und nicht schreit. Gut produziert, nette Melodien, eingängige Refrains, kurz, ein durchaus lohnenswerte Investition, die durch die Seltenheit der Scheibe aber auf sich warten lassen wird.
