Salamandra: Time to change

SALAMANDRA bewegen sich auch mir ihrem 2010er Album im Bereich Symphonic Metal mit sehr guter Produktion. Die Songs sind nicht so süßlich wie bei vielen anderen Gruppen verwandter Stilrichtung, was möglicherweise am etwas härteren Gesang Ivan Borovskys liegt. Das ganze ist stimmig umgesetzt, musikalisch ist also nicht viel zu meckern, aber wie schon auf dem Vorgängeralbum wäre etwas weniger mehr gewesen. Weniger symphonische Anteile, noch mehr Einprägsame Melodien und Songs, die man auch stärker im Ohr behält. Gut, aber nicht herausragend.

With their 2010 album SALAMANDRA still play Symphonic Metal. The production/sound is fine and most of the songs stay away from beeing to sweet in melody and singing (maybe because of the more powering voice of Ivan Borovsky). So all is done well and you won't find many points to criticize, but like on the albums before a bit less would have been a bit more. More catchy melodies and songs which would stay longer in mind could help the whole thing a lot. So as a result we have a good album but won't find something exceptional.
