Ja, auch in Kanada wird die Axt nicht nur im Wald geschwungen. Glücklicherweise gibt
es auch dort eine Metalszene, die immer wieder gute Bands zum Vorschein bringt. Und eine davon ist Ivory Knight, die mit ihrem traditionellen Metal im Mid-Tempo Bereich genau in diese Kerbe schlagen. Nach ihrem bereits guten ersten Album "Up from the ashes" aus dem Jahr 2001 geht es in bester US Metal Manier weiter. Stilistisch orientiert sich die Bands an Helden wie Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, Queensryche..., ohne diese zu kopieren. Abgerundet wird die Mucke durch einen sehr variablen Sänger, der sein Stimmvolumen voll ausschöpft. Interessant ist außerdem auch, dass unser langjähriger Wegbegleiter Jeff Waters (Annihilator) die Scheibe gemixt und gemastert hat. Die CD sollte ab sofort auch auf den Einkaufszetteln aller Truemetaller stehen.

Yeah,even in Canada the axe isn't only swung inside the forests. Luckily, there's a Metal scene as well breeding lots of good bands. One of them is Ivory Knight who hit the nail right on it's head with their traditional mid-tempo Metal. Their first release "Up From The Ashes" (2001) has already been a good album and they have stuck to their roots. That means they stilistically resemble the Godfathers Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, Queensryche etc. without being a simple rip-off. The work is completed by a very variable singer who uses his complete vocal range. Interesting as well that our long-standing companion Jeff Waters (Annihilator) has mixed and mastered this album. Every True Metal fanatic should add this CD to his shopping list immediately.
