Ihrem Nordland-Image bleiben ICE VINLAND auch auf dem zweiten Album treu. Der Vorgänger ist ja eines der besten unbekannten Metal-Alben vom amerikanischen Kontinent. Unbekannt deshalb, weil die Band vertriebsmäßig nie etwas auf die Reihe bekommen hat und Anfragen von mailorders immer unbeantwortet blieben. Mit dem zweiten Album wurde die Verschachtelung der Songs verstärkt. Der extrem hohe Gesang nervt mich jedoch ziemlich, d.h. er ist wirklich für reine US-Metal-Fetischisten gedacht. Das viel mir beim Vorgänger "Masters of the sea" noch nicht so auf. Seltsam. Natürlich sind die Kompositionen nach wie vor interessant angelegt und das Wikinger-Image wird gepflegt, aber wie gesagt, der Gesang ist nicht für jeden ertränglich und leicht ins Ohr gehen diesmal auch die Songs nicht.

After a long period of time finally the second album of this misterious band. All questions of mailorders and other companies usually were not answered and so probably the band needed many years to sell all the copies of their first album in order to finance the second one. In comparision to "Masters of the sea", "Vinland saga" is more complex and the vocals sometimes try to kill my nerves. This may be different to US-Metal-afficionados, but I am just a normal Metal-listener and so its quite hard for me to hear difficult songs with a even moer "difficult" voice.
