Review
Trilogy, Saracen, Mandrake Garden.. Zen Venom.. now welcome another crown jewel of Australian metal rarities Fatal Array. One of the few 7' pure metal releases from the land down under. This rare piece of steel (Rigid records 001) preceded the Fatal Array S/T debut CD and contains 2 tracks not issued on that disc. A commanding vocal performance from Mark Thomas who indecently was on the shortlist to replace Rob Halford in Judas Priest. Battle Cry intros with a flanged bass run and kicks you in the head with borderline thrash intensity, some ripping leads and a restrained clean melodic midsection. Rigor Mortis drives its point home with a hooky riff and gang style backing shouts in the chorus. Here's hoping you can find this little gem without shelling out a kings ransom for it.
