Review

Another bunch of Australian metal merchants sharing the NWOBHM spirit alongside Taipan, S.A.S & Virgin Soldiers etc who eeked out an existence in Melbourne from 1984-87. Aside from bland cover art the first noticeable element on this rare slab of mid 80's Aussie metallic wax when needle hits groove is the punchy sound that slaps you about the ears. Opening title track 'Love To Rock And Roll' pulsates with fat quarter note bass & rock solid beat locking into a Runnin' With The Devil Van Halenesque stadium pulse, driving along into a hook laden chorus rasp and Stephen Hearns stereo panned guitar leads. 'Too Late For Love' has Bob Toppings vocals smooth out for a hard rock verses and catchy chorus. 'Pass This Way' locks into a mid paced hard rock groove letting 'All's Quiet' pick up the pace whilst dropping into slight subdued mellow interludes adding an element of dimension which texturing the straight up hard rock with some voice overlays. One and only release from this somewhat obscure band from down under.
