Review
Mid 80's Sydney side Aussie hard rock outfit originally formed in Adelaide during the late 70's who's sound cross pollinates the likes of Ratt, Def Leppard & Bad Company. Although not in the same metal collectable league as valuable Aussie LP morsels Virgin Soldiers, Saracen, Trilogy etc there is enough back to basics musical simplicity delivered to appeal to fans of Heaven, Krokus, AC/DC, Rose Tattoo, Choirboys etc etc. Kick Ass (Rock and Roll), Hard & Fast, Take It or Leave It, Freewheelin are work man like songs of the straight up Aussie hard rock breed. High pitched wails from vocalist Csongrady reliable guitar work from Pratt coupled with quirky production drum sounds leaving the impression that the tones that emanate from these grooves are actually a drum machine! Failing to deliver a follow up release Boss fell apart and various members went onto become the Phil Collen (Def Leppard) produced BB Steal. A record for the completists among us and unlikely to be something that anyone would maim and kill for in the realm of Heavy Metal LP collecting.
