Debut album for Sydney combo and follow up to the indie release 5 track EP Grunts. Recorded no frills live to tape & no overdubs in 3 days - an effort to keep the performance raw & personal without distance or gloss between band or listener. A 5 piece line-up that boasts a female vocalist and bass player who describe their solid earthy feels and riffs sound as 'Metal Rock' (i.e. stripped back metal without the chops & precision) sight influences as diverse as Anthrax / Metallica/ Motorhead to Zeppelin, Stones & Pistols. The 10 songs on this LP (including a cover version of Bon era AC/DC Touch Too Much) lean more to a basic garage rock sound rather than ball tearing spit in your face metal precision, rendering this LP to sit on the fence somewhat & probably making it virtually redundant to the die hard headbangers and metal collecting freaks. Between a rock and a hard place.
