I'm not the biggest friend of German Metal but "Splended deed" indeed is an album that even makes ME silent. There's nothing to complain, moreover it must be mentioned to rank in the upper league of the german Thrash Metal scene. Sadly you won't come across this milestone that easily on vinyl anymore while you've seen it everywhere in the 90's! Intelligent songwriting, musicial perfection without sounding progressive or something, very good aggressive vocals and straight thrashing attitude - what else is needed? Here and there you can hear a few Slayer influences ("Reign in blood" with better solos) shining thru but I really don't feel bothered at all. I can only advice every Thrasher to grab the vinyl whenever you see a piece offered. The rest might please himself with the recently re-released CD version.
