Here's another Erika Records record - THE WILD hailing from Hollywood and who's the "production coordinator"? California's Metal pope Dave T. Richards once again! You can read about this band in Dave's World Metal Report Mag ("Hollywoods Metal monsters") while you also can find the MLP offered there but I haven't ever seen a piece turning up anywhere till a canadian ebayer sold several still sealed copies last year for a ridiculous low price. To describe their style is not that easy though there are mainly Metal influences but there's something more melting together here. Some Punk roots as well as a strong R'n'R overdose. For example "Get wild tonight" reminds strongly to CARNAGE's "Barbarian queen" style. To label them only Hard Rock is wrong and calling them pure Heavy Metal is wrong too, though their Horror image fits very well to their obscure heavy music. So whatever style it is I don't wanna label them! The production is fucking raw and totally reflects the mentality of that early year, even though the terrible band pic's prevent everyone for trying them! If you like Metal with R'n'R edge you might purchase this record but the rest keeps his hands off from this weird troop. What I ask myself now is if Dave T. Richards had something to do with Erika Records? But once again Erika Records records are not the easiest to find nowadays.
