Across this chaos
The penalty is grim
If you've ever tried to correct some mistakes at Metal Archives then you'll surely know that you're dealing mainly with ignorant a..holes who know a shit. For those who saw Proudflesh there and found the term "Heavy Metal" in the description of their style, here's your personal guide. Founded by ex-Crucifix members these guys couldn't get the HC/Punk out of their music at all. You can find those influences on the privately released "Powerbroker E.P." as well but with serious powerthrashing Metal edge that especially let some dudes labeling "Across the chaos" even Thrash, but in my humble opinion it's more of an motörheadish driven thrashy and punky Power Metal mix which fits in the description of "French Indochina" too but this track just can't offer that galopping speed at all. Just the B-side "The penalty is grim" can't deliver this quality anymore and appears more midpaced rockin' with lotsa guitar solos. Don't expect the vocals being too punky this time, I'd call 'em more a sort of typical US HC alike. Quite interesting but not pure Metal here, therefore those who are openminded enough and into punky Power Metal might try this record, otherwise it's just recommended for Crossover fans. Powerthrashing motörheadish Crossover band might fit here the best as description of their style.
