Vontieeff

Formed in 1988, VONTIEEFF was a Heavy Metal band from Aigaleo (Athens), consisting of Fotis (vocals), Michalis (guitars), Vangelis (guitars), Andreas (bass) and Kostas (drums) – sorry, no surnames available at current. Their sole demo tape, a six-tracker named “The Story Has Just Begun” (1989), comes highly recommended for its energetic NWOBHM/Euro Metal style that carries enough grit to hit just the right spot. At least three different cover variations exists of the tape, as can be seen below in the discography section.

In addition to the demo tape, VONTIEEFF participated on a couple of compilation volumes and did some gigging in their local area. They allegedly had plans for further releases in the form of either a demo or a mini-LP, but sadly nothing came out of it.
