Not much information to share on this mid-1990s Athenian outfit, which was formed in 1996 and released only one single-tracked promo tape in 1997, entitled ”Crushed Skulls” after the title-track (also featured on the ”Metal Renaissance” compilation tape). Starting out as a covers band, SHOTGUN went through a bunch of members, with the sole constants being Yiannis Nicolaidis (guitars) and Vasilis Belegris (drums). Rumours say the band recorded more material as well, but the aforementioned ”Crushed Skulls” is all we have at hand. Musically, Shotgun offered rough-shod Heavy Metal with a hint of Power/Thrash in parts of the rhythm riffing.
