Fading Reality

Allegedly founded back in 1997, FADING REALITY was a Heraklion-based Progressive-Power Metal unit who released their first demo – “City of the Damned” – in 1998, then apparently entered a lenghty hiatus before returning about eleven years later with an altered lineup (the only remaining original member being guitarist Aggelos Kouropoulos) for their second release, entitled “Fading Reality” (2009).

As for the moment, the only available material we’ve got access to is a handful of live recordings taken from a gig at AN Club in 2009 – all of which have been culled off the then-current “Fading Reality” demo/EP. Judging by the live tracks, the band definitely had the chops to pull off their rather intricate (although not obstinately technical) and melodic Power-Prog in a live setting.
