Ensemble

Formed in 1992, ENSEMBLE was an early-1990s Thrash Metal band from Heraklion who recorded at least one demo tape and made some live shows (including a shared spot with EPIDEMIC and HATRED) before dissolving by the mid-1990s. Many of the band members you may be familiar with from other regional and national bands, including: Vasilis Kouroumalis (vocals – REFLECTIONS REVERT), Alexander Haritakis (guitars – REFLECTIONS REVERT, ROTTING CHRIST, SEPTIC FLESH), Nick Vergos (guitars), Yannis Vardalachakis (bass – SOUNDGEIST) and Philotas Ditsas (drums).

The only known demo from the band, which we do not know the name of (probably self-titled or just referred to as “Demo 1995”), was recorded in 1995 and engineered by the well-renowned Antonis Delaportas. It includes five tracks, of which one was an introductory piece. Unfortunately, none of these songs have surfaced yet, so we cannot provide any further description of the actual music. On the other hand, the band has been quite generous in sharing old band photos on their old Facebook page. Looks like they had a good time back in the day! Around 2010, there were also some mentions of the band planning to perform live, but whether these shows took place or not is currently unknown.
