DRUTENTUS was an Athenian two-man Black Metal band, created in 1996 by Hierophant (vocals, keyboards, piano – F.R.O.S.T., TATIR, THE SHADOW ORDER, etc.) and Voreas (guitars, bass – DARK MIGHTY THOUGHT, F.R.O.S.T., GOATHRONE, Βάκχειος). Like many of Voreas\ projects, only one demo tape was created before the band dissolved. “In Frigidis Silvis” (1996) is well-worth tracking down, as it contains some excellent, epic Black Metal in the Hellenic tradition along with an instrumental/ambient composition.
To account for its quality, it should be noted that “In Frigidis Silvis” has been re-issued on at least three occasions; first by Demonion Productions in 1998 featuring alternative coloured artwork, then in 2016 by Cryptia Productions as part of a split-CD also including the demo of Voreas’ other band Βάκχειος, and finally in 2018 by Goatmarch distro in a Black/White semi-replica of the original demo.
