Originally founded by George Diamantis (vocals, guitars) and Stelios Kardamakis (bass, backing vocals – JUDGEMENT DAY), Athenian Heavy Metal/Hard Rockers DELIVERS allegedly began their career as a cover band back in 1996 and has been offering live audiences joy through heavy music for 20+ years. In their repertoire, you’d find everything from MANFRED MANN’S BAND KISS and STYX to ACCEPT, JUDAS PRIEST and WARLORD. Although we have no record at current of which members who’ve passed through the DELIVERS ranks, it appears as if the aforementioned duo has operated as the main core.

The band’s first full-length album featuring original material, “Their Name Liveth for Evermore”, was released in 2007 through the US-based Metal Breed USA – a label which also happens to include several other Greek bands in their roster, such as CLAIRVOYANT, DARK NOVA and POWER CRUE. The lineup at the time included, in addition to the aforementioned duo of Diamantis and Kardamakis, bassist Iraklis Buziotis. With their lenghty collective experience of operating in the live circuit, DELIVERS knew which kind of song material gets an audience going, and duly offered nine catchy cuts which combined the anthemic qualities of 1980s Heavy Metal/Hard Rock with a moderate dose of 1990s-styled down-tuned riffing and – last but not least – the occasionally Klaus Meine-like vocals of George Diamantis which must’ve worked very well in concert situations.

Since then, the bassist position has been handed over to former CRUSH-bassist Tasos Vrettakis (bass, backing vocals – CRUSH, ANGELO PERLEPES’ MYSTERY, LAVA) and the band is apparently still going strong, despite the current status concerning live shows.
