Deadly Core

Athens (Attica)
Thrash Metal
Active:
1989-unknown

Formed in Athens during the summer of 1989, DEADLY CORE played Thrash Metal with occasional deadly outbursts. The band originally functioned as a trio with Jim (guitars), Jim (bass) and Spiros (drums) (no idea about whether or not they had a vocalist at the time). With this lineup, an eponymous (allegedly horrible-sounding) demo was created in 1989/1990.

After this first stint in the studio, George joined as vocalist and the band spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room before unleashing their second demo “The Deadly Return” (1990). This tape was received fairly well in the fanzines and the track “Death Trip” was included in a couple of compilation tapes. However, the band did receive some criticism from certain zines for not giving a damn about politics!

Unfortunately, that’s all we can say about DEADLY CORE at this point, since we haven’t been able to find either tape yet. Feel free to get in touch if you have more information to share!
