Dark Mighty Thought

The first (?) of several acts spawned from the mind of the rather prolific Athenian musician Nick “Voreas” (vocals, keyboards, drum programming – Βακχειος, DRUTENTUS, F.R.O.S.T., GOATHRONE). DARK MIGHTY THOUGHT offered rudimentary yet atmospheric Black Metal on its sole three-track demo tape “The Call of Eternity” (1995). Joined by Tony Konstantourakis (guitars, bass), this project of Voreas focused on mixture of basic, slightly disharmonic riffs and chord progressions, backed up by eerie synthesizers that, taken as a whole, comes across like the bastard child of BEHERIT and early GEHENNA (Nor).

If you’re familiar with the rest of Voreas’ creative output (and liked what you’ve heard…), then DARK MIGHTY THOUGHT is well-worth checking out as well.
