Corrosive Instict

Yet another act from the underground Death Metal capital of Greece! CORROSIVE INSTICT was formed in 1997, presenting a technical variant of old school blasting Death Metal à la early GOREFEST infused with plenty of ear-friendly melodic- and groovy passages. One would like to think that this brand of competent, moderately brutal yet accessible music would attract label interest, yet the band dissappeared after only two demo/promo releases, some gigs and a handful of compilation features.

Another less important question mark related to CORROSIVE INSTICT is the apparent misspelling of their band name. The words were with high probability taken from a lyrical passage in PARADISE LOST’s “Say Just Words”, included on the album “Icon” which was released the same year as the founding of C.I. Was it done deliberately to avoid copyright issues, or was it just an error on behalf of the band?
