CIRRHOSIS (not to be confused with the cult Brazilian Death Metal band bearing the same name) was a Death/Doom act from Giannitsa (not 100% sure on this last remark), formed in October 1992. The band operated as a quartet with George Kroutiras (vocals), Babis Georgiadis (guitars), Asteris Leimonas (guitars), George Skoudis (bass) and Apostolos Vassiliadis (drums) – none of which are known from any other metallic acts that we are aware of.

According to a zine interview published in February 1994, CIRRHOSIS had completed four compositions which were planned to be included in a demo scheduled for release in early 1994. Meanwhile, in order to gain some studio experience, the band had also made their first proper recording at Rover Studios (Thessaloniki) – recording a single track perhaps for future use. Unfortunately, we have no clue whatsoever what happened to the band after this – there are no traces of the aforementioned demo nor the single-track recording.
