ATTIC DREAMS was Doom Metal act from the western Athenian suburb of Haidari. Members consisted of Dimitris Ch. (vocals), Petros Mixopoulos (guitars), Manolis B. (guitars), Miltos J. (bass) and Haris K. (drums). The band was active during the late-1980s and early-1990s, but there’s contradictory information regarding their exact demise – some sources claim 1993, while others attest to them splitting up already in 1990. As far as we know, A.D. only released a three-track rehearsal tape, which – except for the usual complaints about bad production – received fairly positive reviews back in the day. For example, “Power Metal” zine described the music as original and unlike other Doom Metal bands at the time, ATTIC DREAMS didn’t sound like yet another CANDLEMASS-ripoff.
