Altar

ALTAR was a Marousi-based Thrash Metal quintet with additional Death- and Heavy Metal elements (according to interviews made with the band – we haven’t been able to find any of their material to confirm it). The band was formed in December 1990 with a lineup that included Stathis (vocals), Panos (guitars), Kostas K (bass – HORRFIED) and Kostas (drums). The band did some concerts (including at Rodon) and apparently had plants to record a track for a Molon Lave compilation, but as far as we know nothing came out of it and the band split up around 1993. No demo- or rehearsal recordings are currently available, if they even exist. According to reliable sources, the bass player Kostas K went on to play with the atmospheric Death Metal band HORRIFIED on their 1989 debut demo.
