Tough episode for me. Other than
9. Grand Magus - Ulvaskall (Vargr)
13. Cracker - James River
I'm completely stumped.
Love the first track, can't wait to find out what that one is. That Spanish track is a ripper too. Barón Rojo?

I finally got one! Was thinking the whole episode would be nothing, until the last track, the b-side of this excellent single:

I recognized FRATERNITY with "seasons of Change" at around 14 minutes.

I should have known that this one would be on your distinguished radar Rob. Well spotted sir. I reckon that ID is worth at least double points.

You did indeed. For the uninitiated, this was Bon Scott's band before AC/DC & that's the great man himself on vocals and woodwind!

All will be revealed in the fullness of time. As the actress said to the bishop.
Kudos on knowing Cracker, i wasn't expecting that would get ID'ed.

Correct! It's from the very odd film 'Sasquatch Summer', and apparently the singer is Elvis Presley's grand daughter.

Many thanks to all of you for your continued support & interest in COTU, the current episode seems to be going down rather well. The punk contingent seem a little more restrained in their enthusiasm but their resistence is weakening.

Well now, knowing a bit of a strong word here. I had never heard the song before, of course, but the lyrics were googleable enough.

Nooo...say it ain't so! Nah, that's a perfectly acceptable tactic. Now i think of it, i've never encountered a fellow Cracker fan so that should have been a clue.
Is it time for me to reveal the remaining songs or would you all like a little longer?

That FRATERNITY blows BLACKFEATHER version away anytime. It seems we don't know anything anymore, so feel free to uncover the rest, 'kit.

Okay, i'll give it 24 hours more in case someone has a last minute brainwave then i'll spill the details.
I agree with you regarding Fraternity vs Blackfeather. The version i included is from the single which just edges out the different LP version for me. Weirdly Bon played the woodwind parts on the Blackfeather version of the song too, which then ended up being more successful than Fraternity's 45. Bet that made his band-mates happy.
