ÜBER rare rehearsal tape here by mega Obscure Belgian Hardrock/Heavy metal band MARBLE ARCH from may 1979. The band released two 7" singles in 1981 & 1983, but are mostly unknown to the ultra metal collectors, let alone the Belgian ones. This tape consists of mainly cover versions, by the likes of Deep Purple (Highway star), Scorpions (He's a woman, she's a man), Mountain (Roll over Beethoven) & a few others. There's some AC/DC-ish boogie rock & some Blues rock in here too, but it's mostly solid HARDROCK / Proto metal with some incredible lead guitar work. 8 tracks in 34 minutes. I've also restored & digitally mastered this 38 year old tape & it came out very good. I've heard studio demo tapes that sound much worse than these rehearsal recordings...

Thanks. Always thought (because of the 7''s) that they were french.
Still - some people do...

Isn't there a chance of them being french but released by a belgian label ?

No, they were from the French speaking part of Belgium & not far from the French border, so maybe that's why they got confused with being a French band.
