The Corroseum forum (new design under construction)

BEYOND VISION were a short-lived progressive metal band from Oostende, Belgium, Starting in 1989 & splitting up around 1992. They recorded just one demo called "First Sighting" in February 1991. Quite an interesting band with influences ranging from Savatage, Nevermore & the odd bit of Epic Doom ala 1st album Candlemass era. The singing is strong & great, the leads are shredding too. The song structures are very "all over the place" in a proggy way, but mainly the vibe is one of mystery & Gloom. Some of the Keyboard sounds are a bit cheesy, but i guess it just all adds to the weirdness of their sound. 5 tracks, 25 minutes.
