Here's a good one.... in 1983 NY band ALIEN released a rather mediocre & pretty lightweight ep called "Cosmic Fantasy" on Mongrel Horde records. Although it was quite popular & sold well in Europe, it was quite a wimpy release, bordering on early hair metal, BUT...here's their 1982 demo which tears it up big style, sounding very similar to a killer NWOBHM band with soaring lead guitar work galore. There's 1, possibly 2 tracks on here that could be classed as Hardrock/AOR/Hair metal, but the rest is just MUCH heavier, rawer & downright power-laden than their vinyl EP ( & sole release!!), the songs on the demo that also appear on the ep, are played faster & with way more grit & energy too. I've also included the 1983 interview the band did with a member of Staff from Mongrel Horde records & when they talk about their influences, you can understand why they sounded so European for a US metal band back in the early 80s (Much like Metallica did too back then). I did a little research on them (mainly to find out more about this demo that no one knows about) & i discovered that certain members had some serious bad luck after the band broke up (Arrested for Murder, put on Death row for 25 years , then dying of Cancer etc), you can read all about it here : http://leftearrightearvinylfrontier.blo ... osmic.html

I never listened those tracks but i've heard those tracks are from a rehearsal caption.
While these tracks Maleqys uploaded seem to be like real studio work.
