The Corroseum forum (new design under construction)

Here's a demo that scores 9/10 on the Retard-o-Meter, but still very enjoyable. DEATH TERROR were either from France, Belgium, French Canadian, Switzerland or Luxembourg. Either way, a country that speaks French. This "Robot's Invasion" demo from 1988 is like a mix of demo/1st LP Sarcofago (musically) with Snake (from Voivod...circa 1983-1985) on vocals. The singer here REALLY reminds me of that early Voivod period in terms of pronounciation, shouty-style & phrasing (if at all..). Speed wise, it's like slower Blastbeat style (much like early Sarcofago), but just a bit too short to fully get there. This recording is the A side of their demo only. The B-side of this tape had a few live tracks, but those tracks were on another tape & i haven't found them yet. I remember that the singer is speaking French between the songs though. Restored & remastered from a 27 year old tape...

Nothing about them in the book No Speed Limit (1964-1989) which focuses on Metal from Quebec and the book is pretty exhaustive. If you wanna know for sure if they are from Quebec you should try to contact Felix B. Desfossés or Annick Giroux.

I also chatted with Christophe Bailet who wrote "Total France Metal" Book and no-one is more abilitated to know if this band was french or not because he knows them all. And he doesn't have a clue. If they were french he never heard nothing about them.

On the last track "Return the side", the members are talking ( & shouting,screaming etc). Is there any way to figure out by their accents where they are from (Canada, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg etc)?

Definitly Belgium or northern France. "Nondedjeu" is typically belgian so I would go for that, though I am from Belgium and never heard about them! But you never know with obscure tape don't you?
