It was me based on the cover art alone. I didn't know the band name until recently since it's not on the front of the sleeve.
Thanks for the upload. I'll let you know if I have any regrets

I seem to have a perverse knack for enjoying records that people warn me about, so i'll give it a listen.
Thanks for the upload.

Prowler, I was expecting it to be truly awful after your warning, but it's just a bit unremarkable really.
Slightly anemic & derivative mid-80's Hard Rock, but the song titles tipped me off that it might be just that.
The 2nd song "Tear Me Down", isn't bad for that style, if you'd told me it was an old ICON or KIX demo i'd probably have believed it.
The singer and guitarist are pretty decent, but you'd probably have to have a love for that commercial '80's Hard rock sound to appreciate this.
So no gold here, but it's at least another mystery solved, so thanks again for the up.

Sory, this is ultra bad. I listen to Hair Metal bands from time to time and there are surely some that are quite great but Split Sydney do not belong to that category, moreover they do have quite modern groovy structures (untypical for a 1985 record) and that's what bothers me.

I don't have a massive problem with the commercial sound, but are the "artifacts" present on the vinyl too or was that something that happened in the process of the rip? Because it damages the impression of this pretty bad.
Other than that it's a rather nice listen when you want something easy.

I finally got a chance to listen to this. I wouldn't say that it's absolutely terrible but it's not my cup of tea. it's too Hard Rockish and commercial sounding.
I appreciate the effort you took to make the rip though.
