BLOODBATH - Toxic Death MLP 90 + demo 89

Post by DaN »

A Yugoslavian Deathrash top-rarity for Humus. I'd describe them as a mix of MERCILESS, early PESTILENCE and KREATOR - great, brutal stuff although the songs feel a bit too similar after a few listenings. The 89 demo is an unreleased promo that I got directly from the Explosion Rec. guy when I bought some of his old releases via eBay some years ago.

The little I've heard from the full-length debut sounded quite different. More technical DM like the later PESTILENCE stuff.

Thanks a lot for this Dan! Just started listening to this and it sounds bloody great. Also has a lot better sound than I had expected.
To all, trade me this record and I will reward you well!

Yeah, killer band. The best band from Serbia after Heller...
Rather spend money in those releases than mediocre and even more expensive stuff like Rapid Force...

Uurrgh... Tell me 'bout it. I spent a ridiculous amount of money on that RAPID FORCE lp and was very disappointed :( Would some eastEuro-completist PLEASE take it off my hands!

yes, too bad they mostly put off the Thrash from their full length :x
Their 2nd album "Frustration" is said to be very modern sounding...

fucking hell, that MLP is amazing !!!!
sounds like a mixture between merciless 'the awakening', kreator 'pleasure to kill' and schizo 'main frame collapse'

while listening to the demo, the drums got on my nerves. I hate fake drums! (especially in nuclear execution, they sound very fake)

actutally their 3rd CD is called Frustration and is very disappointing. Very Hardcore sounding. After this, the group split up and some members formed a new Hardcore band with a different bandname. So you can guess why they split. I was told that it was something in the Soulfly/Sepultura direction without the tribals.

yep, I thought of "Toxic Death" being a MLP
Some members also moved to the UK.

The mini is one of the best things I heard in months.
Didn't like the demo for the same reasons as tomas.

This LP and Heller are a must. I've reviewed this in the upcoming issue of Black Goat in 'Back from the Grave'. Great LP!
