When the name "Legion of Death" is mentioned, not that many heads turn anymore (or ever did), but this powerhouse Mongo-proto grindcore-Total death-crossover bunch from Denver,Colorado caused a few ripples when they started to release a few demo tapes in 1986. Very simililar to early (demos & 1st LP) Righteous Pigs ,N.M.E.,"surrender or die"- era Slaughter & even Genocide (pre Repulsion), all mixed in with very immature, obscene & offensive titles & lyrics. Killer drumwork & great shouty/growled vocals. They released an LP in 1987,but due to the poor production, most of the power & insanity from their live shows & demos ,were lost. Got 3 RARE Legion of death items for you here. First up, live in Denver,Colorado (Soundboard of some kind) 5th of August 1986:

http://www.mediafire.com/?6114ien32aemqlm (15 tracks,mostly titled, 50mb)

Legion of Death 2nd demo "Inconstructive Anarchy" early 1987:

http://www.mediafire.com/?7d2wjnlk5zgj6k5 (8 tracks, all titled, 25mb)

Saved the best one till last, their 50minute maniac late 1986 demo:

http://www.mediafire.com/?7ll2wyz99d9q6nr (23 tracks, all titled, 111mb)

p.s I've ripped & uploaded these myself & have NOT plundered them from another blog or something-Malegys.

unconstructive anarchism is a fuckin ripper... i've also heard their first (?) demo "have a nice death" which has harsher vocals over a bit slower tempo. killer shit to say the least, i'll have to check out that live set and the 50 minute 86 demo, thanks!

Yes, like i said..the LP is nothing compared with what they sounded like on the demos. Glad you like it, metalizer.
