Diamond Head - Lightning... or ToPT - Wild Cat?

Been playing Diamond Head's "Lightning to the Nations" and Tygers of Pan Tang's "Wild Cat" back to back a few times these past few days. Both are NWOBHM classics from the year 1980 with a strong emphasis on heavy riffing that rocks and on strong and effective melodies.
So which do you like better? I guess Diamond Head will be the most popular choice because of a bit more adventurous and varied song writing as well as the vocals issue, but I have a very soft spot for Wild Cat. It's shock full of riffs and songs I'll never get tired of.

"Lightning to the Nations" here. I've never been a big fan of TOPT.

Both are great albums, but I'll go with DH. I sorta burned myself out on Wild Cat years ago, so i rarely re-play it now. LttN still gets rotated into the play list regularly though

I like Wild Cat but for me it doesn't stand the comparison with Lightning, which have something DARK, special and profound, whereas Tygers are more "light" (Am I clear ? lol), and "happy/Rock'n'Roll".
But I like both, and... 1980 is such a golden year ! Maybe the pick of NWOBHM...

Voted for "Lightning to the Nations" because I never heard "Wild Cat" haha. I need to check that one out then but I can't imagine it being better then Lightning which is chock full of brilliant catchy riffs.

LttN, never been a fan of Wild Cat, it always sounded dated to my ears.

The lightning has broiled the wild cat back then in 1980.
So it's pretty obvious what has to be chosen.

Try again with 'LttN' versus 'Angel Witch'- I always think of those as two of the GIANT albums that match up really well
Put 'Wild cat' up against 'Wheels of Steel' maybe....

i worship both albums but i went for Wild Cat. Can't really choose one, just went for the "Cat" 'cause it got less votes, haha
