Thought folks might be interested in checking these out. All three were included in the grubadub auctions from a month or two ago (I only won the King Cobra).

Caution- Want Me Bad / I Don't Know
This was one of the true unknowns in the auction lot. Was listed as a New Hampshire band with a 1984 release date. The band has an amateurish charm. 'Want Me Bad' is awesome, great heavy vibe, gnarly solo, just what I like in these garage-band projects. 'I Don't Know' is alright but is let down by a weak vocal performance; I still kinda like it despite the woeful chorus

Damrod- 12 Hour Man / Once Again
This is a hard rock release, Illinois band from 1975 according to the auction. '12 Hour Man' is a great atmospheric, spacey number, reminds me a little bit of Marquis de Sade 'Somewhere Up in the Mountains'. 'Once Again' is more upbeat, maybe similar to something like Uriah Heep's 'Sweet Lorraine'.

King Cobra- Think Fast EP
side a- Catch On to Me / Revengeful Dreams
side b- Thinking Fast / Tidal Waves
Cool early US rock-metal sound from this small Nebraska band. The 1st three songs are all solid numbers with nice guitar work. The closer is a bit odd, almost has a funky-bluesy beat to it; different but not bad. Only complaint is the production; definitely a budget job that keeps the songs from sounding as powerful as they should. Still a very cool EP (the only one of these three to come with a pic sleeve)

I saw the Damrod single for $3 (Buy It Now) a week after Grubadub's auction ended. Did I buy it? No. Maybe I should have.

I already had these Ripped from Grubadub auction,but I clearly remember he posted just one song of each single .That's means you bought these records? Oh and I ordered several DAMROD 7" on Buy it now auction for 6 USD. Grubadub's DAMROD sold for 68 USD.

Ah, so you were the one who got them. I was considering getting one, but wasn't sure it was the correct single. When I got home from work to check, they were all gone. Good for you!

No, I only won the King Cobra auction.

The auction listings only had clips from one side of each single, so i thought folks might enjoy hearing both sides in full

The Damrod 7" isn't as rare as most of the other grubadub stuff was. Cool that you found copies that cheap!

Is it just me or does King Cobra's "Catch On To Me" have a Trespass "One Of These Days" vibe going on?

Definitely a NWOBHM vibe in the King Cobra

Caution reminded me a bit of a less doomy The Gates Of Slumber, at least on the "Want Me Bad"-song. Still, really heavy and crushing, just the way I like it!

Oh, and I second the Uriah Heep-influence on Damrod, but I thought it was more prominent on "12 hr Man", rather than the flipside.
