IRON MAIDEN has put on line a new song "Eldorado" taken from their new album "The Final Frontier". Does someone have heard it ? Any opinions ?

You can download it from their website. It's decent. a bit on the too long for it's own good side (clocking in at 6:50). Judging from the other tracklengths as well they're still going for songs which are too long.

Dunno about the song, but the artwork is atrocious and they abandoned Eddie and replaced it with a Predator type of a monster...

For all the fans the cover is a terrible shit, but for me is good cover (almost better than dance of death) , I only want to they come for second time here

It's true that the artwork sucks, the cover is horrible :
and about the length of the songs, it seems that the half of the tracks are beyond 8 minutes :
01. Satellite 15....The Final Frontier 8:40
02. El Dorado 6:49
03. Mother Of Mercy 5:20
04. Coming Home 5:52
05. The Alchemist 4:29
06. Isle Of Avalon 9:06
07. Starblind 7:48
08. The Talisman 9:03
09. The Man Who Would Be King 8:28
10. When The Wild Wind Blows 10:59

I have no big hopes for a masterpiece. Still it's always kind of nice getting to hear a new set of Maiden songs. Downloaded this morning but haven't listened yet. Parts of me tell me to be patient and wait for the complete virgin-fresh (haha!) album for a fuller experience.

Btw Joe Petagno may need to speak to this Melvyn guy.

Question is... will it be as good as A Matter of Life and Death or will it be as bad as Dance of Death?
The new sample song didn't do much for me I'm afraid, but not all the songs on AMOLAD did either. I'm not bothered by the long running times. On the contrary, in my experience the best Iron Maiden songs in later years have been the long ones.

I'm the opposite. AMOLAD had some good ideas, but the songs were way too long. I don't have much hope for this one either.

Agreed. 'Maiden has bored me for quite awhile now. Songs seem to get longer and more boring. Other than 'Brave New World', I have to go all the way back to '7th Son' to find a truly worthwhile 'Maiden album. Pass.

In my opinion, these were the good songs on AMOLAD:
3. Brighter Than a Thousand Suns 08:44
5. The Longest Day 07:48
6. Out of the Shadows 05:36 (The exception perhaps?)
7. The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg 07:21
8. For the Greater Good of God 09:24
9. Lord of Light 07:23
10. The Legacy 09:20
And these were the non good ones:
1. Different World 04:17
2. These Colours Don't Run 06:52
4. The Pilgrim 05:07
It was the same syndrome with Brave New World. All the long songs, like Dream of Mirrors, The Nomad and Ghost of the Navigator, ruled. All the short ones, like Wicker Man, The Mercenary and The Fallen Angel, sucked.

I really enjoyed AMOLAD quite a lot actually and the songs translated well live.
The new song sounds horrible.
The setlist for the current tour is horrible.
Looks like the end is nigh...
