The same idea as in best of 1980 thread. List your favourite metal albums released in the year of 1981!
Here's my top 15:
ACCEPT: Breaker
ARKANGEL: Arkangel
BLACK SABBATH: Mob Rules
BOW WOW: Hard Dog
HOLOCAUST: The Nightcomers
IRON MAIDEN: Killers
LOUDNESS: Birthday Eve
PICTURE: Heavy Metal Ears
RAVEN: Rock Until You Drop
RESISTENCIA: Hecho En Venezuela
RIOT: Fire Down Under
SARACEN: Heroes, Saints And Fools
SAXON: Denim And Leather
TYGERS OF PAN TANG: Spellbound
VENOM: Welcome To Hell
+ as an honorable mention: Mistreater: Hell's Fire.
Things are getting heavier by this year. Welcome To Hell, Nightcomers, Breaker. Good times! Probably forgetting some bands but for the most part that's my best of the best of 1981.

Nice original choises. That belgian Killer especially is pretty good. I never understood the love for Samson though. They're ok for me but surely not on any of my TOP lists. I'm interested in what makes them so good for you?

I don't know, I can't explain. I know they're not the most groundbreaking NWOBHM act, but I like them since ages. Dickinson's voice fits their music really well.
My 2 fave albums are "Head on" and "Shock Tactics".

I'm the other way around. WoS is mediocre to my ears, I much prefer the debut.
