Just found out that the BBC are screening a new documentary about the evolution of British Metal in the UK tonight.
The Docu, "HEAVY METAL BRITANNIA", is on BBC 4 @ 9pm this evening GMT.
Those of you outside the UK may be able to catch it on the BBC website's "I-Player", but i'm not sure.
There is also a show called "HEAVY METAL BRITANNIA AT THE BBC", on straight after, followed by "IRON MAIDEN IN CONCERT".
Something decent on the telly on a Friday night?

it'll be available on I-Player "soon", which usually means the following day.

I saw some of it. A lot of the footage was rehashed from the Arena Heavy Metal Special from 1989.

Had to turn over at 10:30pm though as the girlfriend wanted to watch Jonathan Ross Talk Show

Yeah, most of the band footage was familiar to me too. From the '89 Arena special, The '79 Box NWOBHM/Maiden episode etc etc.
It was still worth watching for the new interviews with Halford, Lemmy, Tatler, Iommi etc.
Burke Shelley came off as a bit of a tit however.

Not much was new to me, but I really enjoyed the documentary anyway.
