CHARGER - DESPERADOES 7''

Post by Dirty Rocker »

Just made this rip + scan. No editing on rip/scan. Much better quality than the rip that circulates.
This is a must hear. Pounding, catchy, powerful NWOBHM at it's best. One of the greatest NWOBHM singles in my opinion. Enjoy!

Possibly my favorite NWOBHM single! Mendes Prey might give it a run for the top of my list :)

That titelsong is pure magic. The general feeling of the song reminds me of "Outlaw" from RIOT, but with a different perspective.

My favorite late-NWOBHM single for sure, together with TALAN maybe.

Yes tastes REALLY do vary  Both tracks are just a standard mundane rockers and nowhere near the 'top' of NWOBHM. I listened to them a few times, the A-side is ok, B-side gets annoying really quickly.

Thanks for the uopload though. And I quite like the cover.

Haha, you don't have to upload anything for me :)

I know the Prowler singles, 'Alcatrazz' is a quite good one indeed, more powerful, and great solos. Not into the other 7". But yeah I guess it would be cool to have a good rip of 'Alcatrazz'!

I also like the Mendes Prey 'On The Borderline' single a lot. Never heard Talas yet.

Haha, I think I will rip + scan the 2 Prowlers. I haven't seen any rip of Alcatrazz single on the net I think:?:
I'm not sure if I have heard Talas either. Would love to refresh the memory with an upload if somebody has it.

I found a rip of Talan, had some 'secret' password but I figured it out and uploaded it myself:

Pretty POOR, and I didn't think it deserved its own thread haha.

Yes, Charger did have a track on a compilation album (metal collection vol 1 sounds right but i don't remember for certain). Would love to hear it if someone has it. I wanna say the comp was done before the single and that the band had a different line-up at that point, but I'm not sure. Check Malc's book
