RADIUM (UK) - Through The Smoke 7''

Anybody who likes this single? I'm listening to it right now and I think it's a great piece of early NWOBHM. There's some sinister heavy riffing on "Angel Of Fear" and "Making Changes" while the truly mesmerising "Dusty Road" is simply fantastic and my favourite one out of the three. UK singles from that period are usually not my cup of tea, but this one's certainly an exception. Have they recorded anything else except from these three tracks?

Cue Dirty Rocker.
On topic - I've heard a few rumours about a demo, but nothing substantial.

Hehehe.. This is one of my favourite NWOBHM singles and totally agree with you of course. Killer EP!!
They were from Nottingham, imagine Radium and Hell live the same evening... !!!
Edit:I can't recognize if I have heard about any demo with Radium.. But It would be amazing if one were found!!

Great single ! "Angel of Fear" is my NWOBHM top ten, imo one of the heavier song to come out from that scene.
Don't know if there's extra-material.

Excellent! Certainly among the heavier NWOBHM bands. None of the pub rock/boogie/prog/poppy stuff that many other bands had, just pure NWOBHM!

"Angel Of Fear" is such a flawless anthem of the genre it gives me goosebumps just thinking of it. One of those (few?) NWOBHM rarities whose cult status is 100% justified if you ask me. I almost shitshocked myself when those Roxxalibur-guys played it at HOA in '08

Now that I'm thinking of it there mustn't be more than a handful of bands that had much heavier songs than "Angel of Fear" in 1981.

I was thinking about making a rip of this single, since the mp3s isn't in top quality as the vinyl. Would that be interesting?

Yup, it'd be great. Please proceed with the rip

just listened to this while reading the posts - I agree - this much better than a lot of other average and overrated NWoBHM rarities, where it is sometimes hard to hear the metal
This IS metal - a really solid and strong release
