How many here have been suckered by dealers being "creative" with their genre classifications?

I can see this thread turning into a debate from two different parties.
Those that see NWOBHM as a "sub-genre" that entitles a specific sound and those that see it as a scene that all bands from the UK that played anything even remotely metallic are included as fair game.
And then there's the Metal vs. Hard Rock argument...
