Have anyone heard their ''Zdrasvui, Durdom!'' album? I came across this brilliant cover on metal archives and something tells me its really good, hehe. Give me some info, if you have any.

I've listened to it and it's definitely not Metal as I remember it. Might have been blues/pub/weak hard rock.. Very decieving sleeve.

I think it's not a bad album, but it is a quite strange one.
They offer a mix from Sleazy Hard Rock over Heavy Metal to Thrash Metal. And it's not that one Song is Hard Rock and the next is Thrash Metal. Some songs containing all this styles in one song ! I think the Metalparts are quite interresting, but there are some quite horrible parts too.

Far too plastic for me. A few good riffs here and there, but it doesnt carry that "weird sinister rape scenario"-vibe to it, that I often look for in Russian Heavy Rocking.
I really like the "Wietierok" track though.
Great gloomy thrash, and instrumental!

Yeah, not that good an album. I bought at some record fair not remebering that the cover doesn't have any other colors than red/black/white - my copy has yellow, green and blue as well, hahah. Neatly hand-colored..

Post a pic of the cover and I'll read the band name for you.

I had a look again, it can't be the same band. I would have to post the cover in pieces since my scanner is too small for the whole cover.

Just some random info:
In 1984 four of the current KRUIZ members quit cuz they wanted to play new wave. They started a new band called EVM (at first it was considered the moniker is a Cyrillic translation from "IBM", later musicians revealed it means "Eh, Vashu Mat!" which is a Russian cuss, similar to "Fuck You")
EVM released their self-titled debut album in 1986, on reel-to-reel tape only. It was guitar oriented New Wave, influenced by bands like Oingo Boingo and Devo.
