BBTAD NEWS-DUST 006 BLEAK HOUSE LP/CD

In 1979 at the beginnings of the NWOBHM hundreds of bands started springing up all over England, all playing their brand of heavy rock but no two quite alike. Merging Heavy Metal and the do it yourself punk aesthetic and attitude the Denim and Leathered crews fought and worked to get their records out and play gigs.

As we all know a scant few made it to super stardom while many many more disappeared into the void before ever getting a single note on vinyl. Then there were bands who managed to get a single or two out documenting the Heavy Metal Magic that was occurring all over the country before they too disappeared. Thank Heavy Metal Hell that Bleak House were such a band!!

Their two ep's released in 1980 & 1982 respectively are documents of real and emotional heavy metal capturing the "magic" so often referred to when speaking of the NWOBHM. Unfortunately due to the collecting boom in the early nineties it made it near impossible for most headbangers to obtain the records....Until Now!!

To press next week!! The vinyl 12' version will include:

Rainbow Warrior ep 1980
Lions in Winter ep 1982
7 Live Tracks from 1980
Gatefold lp including original artwork from the singles and lyrics
12 page 12x12 booklet with gig posters/tons of pictures/old memorabilia and forward from Graham Killin.
Plus extra suprises of course....

Real Heavy Metal, not some Earache marketing scheme. Get the Newky out, lets drink!!

Everything is right on track so Bleak House should be off to press next week as scheduled.I am hoping to get this release back right around the same time the Gaskin Demo's LP comes in.

I will post on this Board as soon as they arrive so members who want one can get an LP.I don't like taking the money up front until I get the records in hand.

Excellent news that this band are getting a reissue; I'll wait for the CD to get all the extra tracks I think.
