Rare WAVY records
Hi,
I am looking for rare stuff on vinyl that has a warp or wave. If you have any rare items that you cannot play anymore cause they are wavy please get in contact with me by PM
Thanks
Peter

There's a machine that fixes warped records. "Furutech DFV-2" if I remember correctly. I haven't used one myself, but have heard good things about it, so if Peter has access to one, it's definitely worth contacting him!

Yes There are a few differnat units on the market that will de-warp
Records with certan warps. (Heat damage) can not be fixed.
But things like Dish (bowl shape) and storage warps can be fixed rather easy. with these units.
I beleave Peter may have one.
If you do maybe you should offer your services here.
In the USA the going rate is $15 each, or 4 for $50

not true, most difficult warp is dish warp almost impossible to remove. Edge warp (=storage warp) seems the easiest to remove warp. But things like Dish (bowl shape) and storage warps can be fixed rather easy. with these units.
But it is not easy, it is a science
max 50 % of the records get back well. The wave almost never (I guess 1 outta 50) disappears completely.but have heard good things about it
But making Lps playable is possible in most cases. (exception: Dish/bowl)
Here in Germany the record dealers take 4 € per record for one ironing (4 hours)
heavyily warped records ( I tried Morbid Saint LP) need 4-5 ironings so about 20 hours, sometimes you iron 20 hours and after that you did not win one millimter...
A science which needs new products to help out frustrated people opening their sealed Militias, Leather Nunns seeing the warp...
