For those non-Swedes who still haven't heard:

The organizers of the Umeå-festival to take place in June '07 were a bit hasty when announcing the re-union of this the greatest FWOSHM band of all time. None of the members were informed of this rumour and it seems they were too busy this summer. It's not impossible that it will happen in the future, but at least not in the next 12 months

I don't mean to be rude but The Unknown sounds pretty average to me.

Yes you are right Heavy Load are indeed pioneers and together with Candlemass,Gotham City,Bathory,Arrow,Equinox Ov The Gods,Mercy,Madison are the best Swedish bands without hesitation. :)
Strangely enough noone in this forum really refers to Heavy Load.

HEAVY LOAD were of course great, classic HM. Call me a cynic if you want, but I don't think they would have gotten as much attention if they didn't have that image and those album sleeves. The music isn't quite as epic & medieval as their image would imply.

Thread-derailment is no biggie at The Corroseum forum 8)

I consider "Full Speed At High Level" one of the first heavy metal albums out there, but people tend to levitate towards judas priest but in my opinion "Full Speed At High Level" Its more metal than any of judas priest albums up to that point, what do they mean by that title I'm assuming they didn't know proper english when making the album title or something.

I think better titles would be Full Speed At High Levels or Full Speed At High Volumes.

Does anyone know if the compilation "GOTHAM CITY - The Legend Of Gotham City" from Metal Crusade Records is official? I did a small research but i didn't find anything helpful.

It's not official and nothing to buy. I think I can recall that one or more said that this was not only a bootleg but also a shitty bootleg too.

Anyway, the sad news that claims there will not be a Gotham City gig this summer was one of the worst things ever announced to me.
