CUTTY SARK

Ok, so I was digging around in my boxes of cds (100 to a box and organized VERY poorly) looking for my KILLER - "Ready For Hell/Wall Of Sound" 2 on 1 and stumbled on the CUTTY SARK trio of cds.
I've only listened to these a couple of times (except for "Regeneration" for some odd reason) and suddenly "Die Tonight" just clicked with me. Damn, that title track is a total classic. I remember back in the day these guys got sort of written off as second rate and I just don't get it. The guitar playing is superb, these guys had the riffs and that spoken word thing the singer does on the song "Die Tonight" send chills down my spine.
Then I put on "Regeneration" for the first time in years and its a great comeback lp/cd. The guitar playing is better than ever on that one. Is it the singer that puts some people off? I really like his voice personally, but I can see where maybe he got on some people's nerves.
I have not spun "Heroes" yet (probably will right now) but I think that that's the one that most call the runt of the litter.
Any other fans of these guys? Did they do any demos? Any live tapes around? And what killed off their reformation so fast in the 90's? It looks like the "Regeneration" cd goes for crazy money these days.
